3 Go-To Dessert Ideas For When You’re Feeling Lazy

We all have days where doing anything at all feels like an impossible task. Maybe it’s the weather, or the surroundings or just our bodies asking us to rest. Whereas, on some days we’d feel plainly lazy. And we’re all pretty guilty of that. But man’s gotta do what he gotta do, which in this case, is nothing. But we all have things to do and cravings to fulfil. So what do you do on those days? Eat from outside? Nah, we don’t do that here. We’ll do something that requires little effort but gives just as much satisfaction.

Here are 3 desserts that I usually resort to when I am not really feeling it. They’re not just easy to make, but also super delicious. If you want to know my tricks and tips, keep reading, I got you covered.

Fruit custard: This is easily the most popular, classic dessert ever! Combine custard powder and 1/4 cup of the milk in a small jug. Stir until smooth.Place custard mixture, sugar and remaining milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until custard comes to the boil and thickens. Simmer, stirring for 1 minute. Now add your favourite fruits to it, Voila! There you have it, everyone’s favourite.

Pancakes from scratch: If you don’t want to do the entire hassle of bringing together all the ingredients like himalayan salt, baking powder and what not, you can just make pancakes from your daily kitchen items. All you need is just this: eggs, flour, milk, vanilla extract (optional), choice of topping, sugar and butter. Whisk the 2 eggs and a mug of milk together. After that’s done, put a mug of flour in the mix. Now thoroughly mix it until all the lumps are gone. NOw add your vanilla extract, a little bit of butter, and sugar to it. There you have your batter. Cook it on a non-stick pan in butter and serve with your favourite toppings.

Jell-o: Yep, we have the taste buds of a 10 y/o. Get a jelly powder from the store and mix the contents in a bowl of water. You’ll get the jelly crystals in a wide range of flavors. After that, put the mix away to refrigerate and solidify for 45+ minutes and there you have it. A nostalgic run down your childhood awaits.

These were some of our favourite go-to desserts. But then again, if you’re in the mood of absolutely not doing anything, then get your hands on the fine collection of Meette. They have just the best dessert options and a whole wide variety of cuisines you can pick from.
